Personalised carnivore nutrition guidance & education

Looking for a Carnivore Coach?

Vitalife Clinic provides personalised carnivore nutrition guidance and education for adults who are considering or already following a carnivore or animal-based approach.

The service provides practical, individual guidance to help you better understand food choices, nutritional considerations and how your chosen approach may fit your individual circumstances.

The carnivore community is growing rapidly, but so is the amount of conflicting information available online.

Understanding what to eat, how to transition, how to troubleshoot common challenges and whether supplements are necessary can quickly become overwhelming.

At Vitalife Clinic, we combine practical experience with evidence-informed nutrition to help you develop a carnivore approach that works for your body and your lifestyle.

What is a carnivore approach?

A carnivore approach is based primarily on animal foods, with varying degrees of restriction depending on your individual goals.

Some people follow carnivore for a short period as an elimination approach to help identify foods that may be contributing to digestive symptoms or other health concerns.

Others choose it as a long-term lifestyle because they feel it supports their health and wellbeing.

There isn’t one single version of carnivore. Our role is to help you find the approach that best suits your needs.

Different approaches to carnivore

The carnivore community includes several different styles of eating. These include:

An infographic comparing four carnivore approaches: ketovore/meat-heavy keto, relaxed carnivore, strict carnivore, and the Lion Diet

Lion Diet

The most restrictive version of carnivore, typically consisting of ruminant meat, salt and water.

Some people choose this as a short-term elimination protocol before carefully reintroducing foods.

Strict Carnivore

An approach based entirely on animal foods, including meat, fish, eggs and animal fats.

Ketovore

A predominantly animal-based approach that also includes small amounts of low-carbohydrate plant foods.

This can be an excellent stepping stone for those transitioning from a ketogenic lifestyle.

Animal-Based

An animal-focused way of eating that may also include foods such as fruit, honey or dairy, depending on individual tolerance and goals.

What can we explore?

Every consultation is shaped around you, so not every conversation covers everything here. Areas we can look at include:

  • Carnivore and animal-based food choices
  • Protein and fat intake
  • Meal composition and practical meal ideas
  • Micronutrient considerations
  • Hydration and electrolytes
  • Food quality and variety
  • Understanding the different carnivore and animal-based approaches
  • Nutritional considerations when changing the way you eat
  • Your individual nutritional circumstances

Is carnivore right for everyone?

Not necessarily.

Like any way of eating, carnivore should be tailored to the individual.

Some people thrive on a more restrictive approach, while others achieve better long-term success with greater flexibility.

Our aim is not to promote one way of eating over another. It’s to help you make informed decisions based on your goals, preferences and individual response.

A personalised approach

There is no single approach that is right for everybody.

Your consultation is an opportunity to discuss your current way of eating, your reasons for considering or following a carnivore or animal-based approach, your individual circumstances and the nutritional questions you would like help understanding.

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to optimise your current approach, we’ll work with you to create a practical plan that fits your lifestyle.

Support may include:

  • Transitioning into carnivore
  • Understanding food choices
  • Meal planning
  • Shopping guidance
  • Eating out confidently
  • Managing social situations
  • Troubleshooting common challenges
  • Electrolyte and hydration guidance
  • Understanding adaptation (“fat adaptation”)
  • Long-term sustainability

Carnivore as an elimination strategy

Many people choose a carnivore approach as a temporary elimination strategy.

By simplifying what you eat, it may become easier to identify foods that don’t agree with them before gradually reintroducing foods in a structured way.

If this is your goal, we’ll guide you through the process carefully and help you plan an appropriate reintroduction strategy where suitable.

Why choose Vitalife Clinic?

At Vitalife Clinic, we recognise that nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Whether you’re exploring the Lion Diet, strict carnivore, ketovore or an animal-based approach, you’ll receive practical, personalised support based on your goals and your experience.

Our aim is to help you understand your body, make informed decisions and develop a way of eating that’s both realistic and sustainable.

Good to know

Your questions, answered

Is a carnivore way of eating safe?

It’s an elimination-style approach, so it’s done carefully and with structure, paying close attention to nutrient balance and to a safe, considered pace. If you have a medical condition or take medication, we’ll suggest checking with your GP first.

Won't I miss important nutrients?

This is exactly what the guidance is for. We keep nutrient balance front of mind and structure things thoughtfully, rather than leaving it to guesswork.

How does elimination and reintroduction work?

It’s personalised and staged. We take a considered approach to removing and, over time, reintroducing foods, at a pace that’s safe and sustainable for you.

Who is it best suited to?

People who want structured, one-to-one guidance for an animal-based way of eating. Start with a consultation and we’ll be honest about whether it fits your goals.
